Revamped Church

January 20, 2011

One nomadic evening through Manhattan I discovered the Limelight Market place.  Revered Gothic revival  architect Richard Upjohn was the originator of this building in 1844. Through the years it passed through many hands and had many makeovers. In the mid 1980’s it was a jumping night club. Now it is a bright and vibrant market offers a wide variety of food, clothes and jewelry.

Wandering this place for over an hour I didn’t buy anything. It wasn’t about the merchandise but the pure skeletal structure of a great building respected and updated.

If you are in Chelsea this is a must!

xoxo
