Italian Interior

May 18, 2011

Designers Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci’s studio/residence is breathing and timeless. They do a wonderful time balancing contemporary art and lighting against a neoclassical Palazzo Reale (located in Milan) with parts dating back to the sixteenth century.

All the images are so stunning it was really hard to pick the creme de la creme but I wanted to feature the story element that Emanuele Zamponi is portraying.

Letting you experience the whole room from different angles. Showing the different textures, pops of color and details. I particularly  love when the object in the foreground is off frame with the real focus being beyond.

How amazing is the embedded lighting?Even with the abundance of concrete and stone the space has a homey feel with the warm wood and textiles.

the last pic much like sanctuary. i feel a bit lonely and longing for something just by seeing the almost empty space. the kind of space would create a good nuance for praying and meditating.
