On a warm summers night as the sun goes down little specs of light start to float around.
One of my favorite childhood memories. The magic of holding a lighting in your hand.
I can remember summer nights of my childhood playing hide and seek with the other children in the neighborhood, guided by the light of the moon and the blinking of fireflies. Sadly, those pretty bugs no longer live in my corner of the world. I’d have to go somewhere a little bit more rural to enjoy them once more. Lovely photo Shortleaf!
OH how I miss the lighting bugs! I lived in NJ for a couple years, a couple of years ago…but I grew up in southern California, so I was like a child every time I would see one! I loved them… this makes me miss the east coast even more…
Cute blog, first time visitor… xo
