Favorite Childhood Book

June 30, 2011

Not only was this one of my favorite books of my childhood but the color palette and art completely won me over as an adult.  The fun font and the black stubble on the fur. I’m also smitten with the pool blue, lemon yellow and hint of olive-green scheme. Really inspirational.

If you are unfamiliar, Miss Lollipop was a sweet old lady that couldn’t say no to any stray pup or bunny that would come her way. One day a runaway lion from the circus happen to her door and of course she took him in. Not one to take any attitude she got that lion into shape. (There is a cute bathtub montage in the book). Skip to the end (spoiler) the circus people were so impressed by her they made her the head line lion tamer of the show. It’s a pretty amazing story. You should check it out if you have the time or can find it!

It’s just fun.
